The Ministry of Environment and Forest awarded Gorumara National Park as the best protected area in the year of 2009 for its eco-tourism system.

Jalpesh Temple excludes a particularly lively atmosphere, especially during the Mahashivaratri celebrations in February to March and July to August. Additionally, it draws a substantial crowd during the Shravani Mela, a significant fair held in the month of Shravan i.e., mid June or July.

5. Buxa Tiger Reserve

7. Jalpaiguri Rajbari

Jalpaiguri boasts a rich tapestry of historical landmarks, each a testament to its cultural legacy. Noteworthy among these is the Jalpaiguri Rajbari, a favored destination for city explorers. Rajbari, meaning "palace," served as the abode of the Raikats, local rulers of the Baikunthapur estate from 1523 to 1771. Originally situated in Siliguri, the capital later shifted to present-day Jalpaiguri around 1720. The Raikats, initially semi-autonomous, eventually became Zamindars under British rule. The Rajbari, located 3 km north of Jalpaiguri Railway Station, now stands as a popular attraction. Surrounded by lush greenery, the palace features an impressive entrance gate, showcasing an expansive un-reinforced concrete arch. The palace grounds host a serene pond, Rajbari Dighi, surrounded by a tranquil garden—a perfect retreat after a day of exploration. Though other lakes dot the palace, they have unfortunately fallen into disrepair. Nonetheless, Jalpaiguri Rajbari remains a captivating glimpse into the city's historical opulence.
